About Malva Dev — Custom Software Studio

A global
|

Whether it's design and development, development only, or ongoing work, we'll get you unstuck in no time.

Every project we take on is measured against one question: does this move your business forward? We care about clean code and strong design, but what we care about most is that your investment returns real, measurable value.

We build software that works for the people using it.

Malva Dev exists to help businesses compete on a level playing field. Not every company has an in-house tech team, and not every founder knows where to start. We do. We take your idea, your problem, or your broken system and turn it into something that works, something your customers can rely on and your team can actually manage. No unnecessary complexity, no disappearing after launch. Just software built around the people it is for.

How we work

Geo-fluid: global collaboration

Geo-Fluid

Malva Dev is rooted in South Africa but our work is not. We operate across timezones, collaborate asynchronously, and have built our process around distance from the start. Our clients get clear communication, regular updates, and consistent delivery regardless of where they are in the world. The distance has never gotten in the way of the work.

Radical collaboration

Radical Collaboration

You know your business better than anyone, and we know software. The best results happen when both of those things are in the room at the same time. We keep you involved throughout the build, share progress early, and treat your feedback as part of the process rather than an interruption to it. You are not handing your project over and waiting, you are baking alongside us.

The recipe is yours: ownership

The Recipe is Yours

We build software for you, not for our portfolio. Every decision, from the tech stack to the deployment setup, is made with your long-term ownership in mind. When the project is done you should be able to hand it to any competent developer and have them understand it immediately. Clean code, clear documentation, no lock-in.

No sticky situations: transparency

No Sticky Situations

We are honest about scope, timelines, and what is and is not possible before we start. If something is going to take longer or cost more than expected we tell you early, not at the invoice stage. Good software starts with a straight conversation, and we would rather have an awkward discussion upfront than a sticky one at the end.
