Overview

Exclusive Books needed a reliable integration between their Shopify store and legacy MySQL systems. Their REST API approach updated products one by one, hitting rate limits constantly, and stock sync took weeks to complete.

What we did

We migrated from REST to Shopify GraphQL APIs with bulk import operations. We implemented Google Pub/Sub and Maxwell Daemon for real-time database sync, and automated voucher creation, product imports, and pickup point management across 40+ stores. This was also a rescue project, stabilised after a previous developer left it in a broken state.

Result

Stock sync dropped from weeks to hours. Customers and staff gained accurate inventory visibility across millions of products.
